
New Mexico Film Museum Announces Winning Entries
On October 25, 2008, The New Mexico Film Museum screened the winning entries in the "History through the Eyes of Young New Mexicans" Program. The program's theme was "Heroes."
Each selected presentation highlights the leadership and contributions of individual Heroes who make a positive difference to life in New Mexico. All films werer selected by jury and are creative, thought provoking and informative. Each submission has developed the theme of Heroes, exhibits technically proficient camerawork, light and sound, and has been edited to the excellent product you view today. The camera packages were generously provided through the Office of Governor Bill Richardson in his efforts to develop young New Mexico filmmakers. This project was sponsored by the Department of Cultural Affairs and the New Mexico Public Education Department. Refreshments at the screening were provided by Jon Hendry, IATSE Local 480, and Lisa VanAllen, Santa Fe Film Office. The "Eyes" Committee members include Pamela Pierce, Chairman, David Aubrey, Alicia Benavidez, India Hatch and Jan Paulk.
